Left to right: LSU President William L. Jenkins, Professor Theodore R.Weber of Emory University, and Professor G. Ellis Sandoz, Jr., Director of the Eric Voegelin Institute at Louisiana State University.
Theologian Theodore Weber presented a gift of a life mask of Eric Voegelin to LSU's Eric Voegelin Institute on June 6, 2007, at the LSU Foundation on campus. The life mask was created in Vienna in the 1930s by Voegelin's friend and colleague on the faculty there, Gregor Sebba. Weber was an early student of Voegelin's as an undergraduate at LSU (class of 1947). The mask has been in his possession at Emory for the past several decades.
