FOCI
OF LSU PHILOSOPHY DEGREE
LSU undergraduate philosophy majors receive a rigorous training in the
history of thought, logic, and contemporary research into the core areas
of philosophy: metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics. Our faculty has
particular research strength in aesthetics, continental philosophy, and
the philosophy of religion. Due in part to the
intrinsically interdisciplinary nature of the these fields of study,
around one third of our majors double major in philosophy and some other
discipline.
