LSU to Host Consortium on the Revolutionary Era

LSU's Department of History will host the 2012 meeting of the Consortium on the Revolutionary Era, 1750-1850 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center from Feb. 23-25. The sessions will feature presentations by prominent national and international scholars on politics, society and culture during this key era. LSU historians speaking or presenting include Adam Pratt, Paul Paskoff, John Henderson, Spencer McBride, Nancy Isenberg, Scott Berg, Darius Spieth, Karl Roider, Reza Pirbhai, and Suzanne  Marchand. Alison Frank of Harvard University delivers the keynote address, “Slavery and Conversion in the Revolutionary Era” at 7 p.m. on Feb. 23. For more on the Consortium and the 2012 sessions, click here.

Graduate History Conference

Department offers innovative "Study Abroad" course on Civil Rights
